Gabriel Johnson / Owner
Growing up in the construction space, I got my start working in design, estimating, and sales for a local builder. A few years later, God opened the door to recruiting in the construction space—and I’ve since had the privilege of placing exceptional people across the U.S., from Project Engineers to Principals.
Today, I own and operate a small, relationship-driven recruiting firm dedicated to helping great builders, architects, and subcontractors find and hire the right people. This industry runs on trust, hard work, and integrity—and my company is aimed at reflecting those values in every search.
I’d be honored to get to know you and explore how I can serve.

About the name…
The name Artisan Recruiting comes from the Hebrew word Charash (חָרָשׁ), referring to highly skilled professionals who built God’s temple—dedicated craftsmen working with precision and purpose. Just as these artisans shaped the temple by hand, today, we continue to build God’s temple—not with wood and stone, but through the skillful kingdom work of sharing Christ’s death and resurrection for sinners. In the recruiting space- I aim to be intentional, custom, and skillful in my work.
The drafting compass in the logo symbolizes both this divine craftsmanship and a human-centered recruiting process—one that is intentional, personal, and custom-tailored to the needs of candidates and clients.
In a world of automated, impersonal hiring, Artisan Recruiting reflects a deeper calling: to build with purpose, to serve with excellence, and to place the right people in the right roles that honor their gifts and build better companies.
